5th Grade Robert Crown Event
Dear 5th Grade Parents:
Walker School's 5th grade students are invited to attend the "Michael and Linda” programs at Robert Crown Center in Hinsdale. All boys should attend with their fathers, and all girls should attend with their mothers. If you will not be available, a family member can attend in your place (older brother/sister, uncle/aunt, close male/female relative or family friend). The boys and girls programs are separate and will take place in different classrooms.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Michael – Puberty Education for BOYS, Grades 4 and 5 ( 85 Minutes)
The Michael Program provides a unique “boys-only” format for puberty education. It compares female and male reproductive anatomy and introduces the physiological changes that occur during adolescence. Educators address secondary physical changes such as voice change, increased production of sweat and oil, acne, and the growth of body hair, as well nocturnal emissions and spontaneous erections.
Program goals are to help students:
Linda – Puberty Education for GIRLS, Grades 4 and 5 (85 Minutes)
The Linda program provides a unique “girls-only” format for puberty education. It compares female and male reproductive anatomy and introduces the physiological changes that occur during adolescence. Educators address secondary physical changes such as breast development, increased production of sweat and oil, acne, increased body fat, and the growth of body hair, as well as the menstrual cycle.
Program goals are to help students:
PAYMENT:
This is not a PTO sponsored event, so the cost is paid for by the 5th grade student families. The cost for the evening will be $15.00 per student.
Please drop off payment to Sandy Pavlik at 243 S Prospect Ave no later than Wednesday, November 23rd. You may pay by cash or check (payable to Walker PTO), whichever you prefer, but please place in an envelope with your child's name on the front. If you could please let Sandy know by email that you have dropped off your payment, she will be sure to look for it and let you know that it was received.
If for some reason your child is not able to attend, please let us know.
